Black and White was conceived as a space and platform for thought, practice and research in fine arts on global level which came into being in 2009. It would attempt to encourage unexplored ideas and thought, which we believe is a link between the past and the present, particularly in the realm of aesthetics of space and time.
A group of people - artists, academicians, art historians, dramatists, film makers, poets, writers, musicians, industrialists and art collectors are involved in Black and White, who envisage it as a space for cultural change.
In 2010 we had two successful shows curated by the renowned artist Ganesh Gohain.
The first was a successful solo show “hieroglyphs” by the eminent artist of Assam, Neel Pawan Baruah and then a group show “Black and white in the horizon” participated by artists like Antonio E Costa, Atmanand Chouhan, Ganesh Gohain, Himansu Joshi, Kiyomi Talaulicar, Niyeti Chadha Kannal, Peter Bevan, Rashmi Mala, Rushika Patel,Santana Gohain, Sheetal Gattani, Yashwant Deshmukh and Yogesh Rawal in Baroda and Mumbai.
